Automotive Industry

The most common Ultra Purge grades used in the automotive industry are Ultra Purge P-O and Ultra Purge High-E. Ultra Purge P-O is very efficient in cleaning the screws, barrels and hot runners during color changes with PP. By using Ultra Purge P-O with this application, customers experience a 40 to 50% reduction in scrap and a 60 to 80% reduction in down time.

Hot Runners

All Ultra Purge grades, with exception of the Ultra Purge HT, can be used to clean hot runners. The user will have the option to purge the machine with the mold open or closed.

PET Preform Production

Ultra Purge PET-E has been formulated to specifically clean injection molding machines that produce PET preforms. An innovative component allows Ultra Purge PET-E to be efficient during color changes and during the removal of black specks.

Blow Molding Machines

Ultra Purge CE-E is the recommended grade to clean blow molding machines with or without accumulators. A unique expanding agent is added to allow Ultra Purge to reach all “dead spots” inside the accumulators and the extruder.

Film Extruders

The most common resins used for film extrusion applications are PP and PE. For this application, we recommend using Ultra Purge PO-C. This concentrate grade needs to be mixed with a ratio of 10% HDPE.
