Description The following cost analysis is chart represents a color change performed with a 4.5" screw extruder using Ultra Purge PO-C . Trial 1 was performed using no purging compound. Trial 2 was performed using Ultra Purge PO-C grade.

Conclusion As indicated above, Ultra Purge noticeably reduces the cost of the purging material. The trial also confirms that using Ultra Purge significantly reduces the production down time. The down time and lost of production is usually the most important component in the color change break-down cost analysis. Reduction of Purging Material: 66% Reduction of Down-Time: 50%
